Christian Silvio Pomelli

PERSONAL EXPERIENCE
He earned its graduation in theoretical chemistry in 1995 from University of Pisa and Scuola Normale Superiore (SNS). He attended the “Corso di Perfezionamento” (1996-1998) in chemistry at SNS. Later (1999-2001) he joined as postdoc the University of Pisa. From 2001 to december 2011, he was head of computer center of chemistry in the same institution. In december 2011 he joined the Department of Pharmacy of the same University as researcher. His research interests span from reliable and fast algorithms for the polarizable continuum model to the study of complex reactive processes in solution. Currently, his efforts are focused on the understanding of the nature of solvation process in ionic liquids.
